Describe The Taffy Barrel:

"We are a saltwater taffy and old-fashioned candy store. With over 90 different flavors of taffy and an entire wall of Jelly Belly's. Take a step back in time and grab a basket to pick out your favorites."

The Taffy Barrel is Charlevoix's favorite saltwater taffy store - we help satisfy every sweet tooth in town.

What makes The Taffy Barrel so unique? "Customers are able to specifically pick their favorite flavors. Everything you purchase is by weight so you can buy as little as 10 cents or as much as $100 worth of candy. A favorite for every age - for some it is a walk down memory lane while being a new experience for the littles at the same time."

Tell us about your background: "I went to Grand Valley State University for business and also have a bachelor's in Marketing and Management. I always wanted to own my own small business and grew up in Charlevoix, so owning a small business in my hometown has been so fun!"

What is something about The Taffy Barrel that surprises your customers?

"The variety of flavors that we have."

As a small business owner, what are some ways you make your employees feel appreciated?

"I am always flexible and understanding with scheduling & am mindful about what they need to feel comfortable working here."

What is one of your favorite testimonials The Taffy Barrel has received?

"No matter your age... when you walk in you turn into a kid again. Fill up your bucket with the sweet treats and then they weigh it and cash you out. The only downfall is I love all their stuff and I have to give ourselves a budget otherwise we'd buy the entire store."

If The Taffy Barrel was a person, how would you describe its personality?

"Sweet and energetic."
