What sets you apart from other shops in town? The main difference we have then our competitors is our awesome greeter Ella the Golden Doodle. She waits by the door and welcomes all that enter.

What product in your business is different from competitors? We are the only store in Charlevoix that sells Shinola and Polish Pottery.

What service does your business provide that is different than most others? We are known for our customer service and are open year round plus have an online store.

What is your experience and background? I grew up in retail. I always wanted to own my own retail store and The Lake House seemed to be the perfect fit for Charlevoix and for me.

What is something about your business that customers do not expect? We go the extra mile for every customer and situation. We’ve delivered items, special orders and can do same day shipping. We also offer free gift wrapping!

Do you have employees? If so, share ways that you help make them feel valued. I am truly blessed with my employees. They are the backbone of our success.

What is one of your favorite customer testimonials your business has received? My favorite store in Charlevoix! They always have new and interesting items coming in. Their home décor and kitchenware selections are to die for, and their customer service is top notch!

Why did you choose to own a business in downtown Charlevoix? I was raised in Charlevoix. Charlevoix was lacking a good home and gift store. I wanted to try something new after doing Real Estate for ten years. It seemed like a good fit.
